Xerox Monkey Commercial

Classic TV commercial for Xerox by famous ad man Geroge Lois. Read the story behind it here. They don't make 'em like they used to, eh?

  1. One of my favourite ads - such a simple concept!

  2. A basic product demo start to finish, with charm. Where has that kind of thinking gone?

  3. Now-a-days you'd see a beautiful long haired girl swish around wearing a flimsy floral patterned summer dress, in a sunny city park, being frivolous with her attractive mixed race friends whilst playing Frisbee in a jovial fashion, perhaps nearly dropping a perfectly green apple, in the whole confusion of the game.

    Oh the hilarity!

All followed up with an unrelated strap-line like, 'Be Good'. Oops that is KFC's now - err how about, 'Be smug!' Will that work.

  4. love the baby/monkey story behind this.

can't remember how many times i've used it as reference to clients about how clearcast are cunts, but you can cunt them back if you're clever.

now replace clearcast with 'clients' or any other cunt trying to stop you're ad being made and the story works in pretty much any situation.

of not used it to get sex yet. YET!

    (sorry for swearing so much)
